Innovators recognised in National Seafood Awards
The biennial National Seafood Awards organised by Ireland’s seafood development agency will recognise innovators across ten categories at a gala event in Dublin’s Christ Church Cathedral on November 27.
The awards recognise the achievements of individuals and businesses revolutionising the seafood sector under the themes of Sustainability, Innovation, and Competitiveness.
BIM chief executive said the awards recognise “cutting-edge innovators” who are helping to build the reputation and value of Irish seafood “on a national and global level”.
Ireland’s seafood sector employs 14,000 people, contributed €1.15bn to Ireland’s GDP in 2017 and is a source of sustainable economic support for coastal communities throughout Ireland.
